Stonebridge Fireplaces is a family run business with over 75 years combined experience in the fireplace and heating industry. Based in the heart of the UK our Nottingham showroom offers unique displays ranging from woodburning stoves, gas fires, electric fires & fireplaces of all types of houses. With over 100 displays we have plenty of designs to give you inspiration for your own project, but should you not see the exact design you are looking for many of our products can be customised to give that unique focal point to any room.

We offer a complete installation service with either a Gas Safe Registered engineer or a HETAS installer for solid fuel, but should you already have a installer or engineer lined up we can supply just the goods which you are looking for.

Replacing a fireplace or fire is a large investment into your property so our knowledge, expertise and quality products are a key aspect of the service we offer ensuring you get the right product for your requirements. When you choose the appliance you are looking for you are not only investing in that product but the company who supplied it, therefore we think it is only right that you understand the company and its history. Below is a brief history of the roots of Stonebridge and where we have originated from.

1977 Tom Deane undertakes an apprenticeship with British Gas and starts his career within the industry, progressing onto advanced training in gas utilisation
         with a gas diploma.

1994 Tom Deane leaves British Gas and opens a small fireplace shop called Direct Fire Surrounds in Carlton, Nottingham. Day to day running is left to
            Jayne his wife whilst Tom undertakes the fireplace and boiler installations.

1996 Alan Oakland joins the team undertaking the servicing and maintenance work due to the growth in the business

1999     A partner ship is formed manufacturing cultured stone fireplaces at a Factory in Colwick and the company Stonebridge Fireplaces is formed and
Direct Fire surrounds is merged with the new company

2002     Growing sales lead to a new large showroom being opened in Colwick Nottingham and a 4000Sq Ft purpose built factory in Ilkeston Derbyshire

2004     Glynn Ordoyno joins the fireplace and boiler installation team

2007     Stonebridge teams up with Baxi to become an approved installer and specialist with Baxi boilers

2009     Our Colwick showroom has a major revamp and we extend the sales area by 1/3

2010     Portway Stoves first appear in our showroom and have gone from strength to strength

2012    Once again we are refurbishing part of our showroom with our stove area getting a complete makeover. The project should be completed by Summer 2012
